In a recent breakthrough, investigators have apprehended a man believed to be responsible for a series of burglaries, including a break-in at a fire station, across Kent.
The string of incidents began on Friday, January 19, 2024, when two separate burglaries and an attempted burglary were reported on Joy Lane in Whitstable. Stolen items, including jewellery, raised concerns among the affected residents.
Two days later, another break-in was reported, this time at a Kent Fire and Rescue building in Sheerness. The thief made off with personal belongings, including a bank card.
The wave of burglaries continued as officers received reports of a house break-in on Augustin Road, Minster-on-Sea, on Monday, January 22.
Following the most recent incident, law enforcement took swift action, resulting in the arrest of a 45-year-old man. He is currently in custody while investigations into these burglaries persist.
