Kent Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with a series of indecent exposure incidents reported in Hythe.
The investigation began on Thursday, 11 January 2024, when authorities were alerted to allegations of indecent exposure involving a man who had reportedly exposed himself to two women on Marine Parade.
Subsequent reports on Friday, 12 January indicated that the same individual had approached a woman on Ladies’ Walk in Hythe, engaging in inappropriate behaviour after initiating a conversation. Later that day, another call was received, describing a man loitering in Ladies’ Walk before indecently exposing himself to a woman walking in the area.
In response to these incidents, Kent Police increased patrols in the Hythe area and initiated inquiries into the matter.
On Thursday, 18 January, patrols were called to Princes Parade after a woman reported an incident where a man had indecently exposed himself while she was out running. Police acted swiftly, detaining a 39-year-old man nearby.
The suspect was subsequently arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and additionally for possession of a class B drug. He was taken into custody and has been conditionally bailed as the investigation continues.
