County Kent – The M2 motorway in Kent is currently closed coastbound between Junction 5 (Maidstone) and Junction 6 (Faversham) due to a single-vehicle collision involving a car. The incident has prompted a carriageway closure, resulting in expected delays for road users in the area.
Kent Police are actively managing the situation at the scene of the single-vehicle collision. They are working in coordination with the South East Coast Ambulance Service and National Highways Traffic Officers to ensure a comprehensive response to the incident.
A recovery operation has been arranged and is en route to the location. However, the operation is anticipated to be time-consuming due to the vehicle’s unusual position, as it has left the carriageway and become embedded in the nearby trees. National Highways service providers are also en route with specialized equipment to aid the recovery agents in this challenging task.
