A significant portion of Ashford’s town centre has been cordoned off by the police following the discovery of a woman’s body under unexplained circumstances. The incident prompted the closure of Ashford’s high street, spanning from Bank Street to Station Road.
The incident unfolded when Police received a call at 11:20 pm on the previous day, leading to a prompt response from the police and emergency services.

A spokesperson for the Kent police stated, “Police were called following a report a woman had been found unresponsive in Ashford high street. Officers attended along with the ambulance service, and the woman was later pronounced deceased. The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries.
