A police incident disrupted traffic in Maida Vale, West London, this morning, causing the closure of Shirland Road in both directions. The Metropolitan Police have taken action to close the road, stretching from Malvern Road to Chippenham Road, though the precise nature of the incident remains unknown.
Commuters and residents have been affected by the road closure, and a detour has been established for two bus routes: the 36 and 187. The disruption has also impacted traffic flow in the area.
Shirland Road is situated just a short distance from the renowned Maida Vale studios, operated by the BBC. Over the years, this iconic venue has played host to numerous legendary musicians, including the likes of the Beatles and David Bowie.
