Tragic Loss of ‘Sweet Boy,’ 17, in M4 Police Chase Remembered in Fundraiser

The heartbreaking loss of a 17-year-old local lad, Jamie Donnelly, in a police chase on the M4 has left the community in shock and mourning. Jamie was a passenger in a car that refused to stop for officers, resulting in a tragic crash on Junction 15 of the M4 on the evening of January 2.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, providing immediate medical care, but sadly, Jamie succumbed to his injuries. Three individuals were arrested in connection with the fatal collision.

In the wake of this devastating loss, a public fundraiser has been initiated by a loved one, Sophie Rhys-Morgan, to provide support for Jamie’s funeral arrangements.

In a heartfelt tribute to Jamie, Sophie said, “Jamie was loved and adored by everyone; he had such a sweet soul and always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s faces. He was kind, caring, funny, and like a little brother to everyone; he most definitely lit up every room he was in.”

All the funds raised through this campaign will be directed towards Jamie’s funeral expenses, aiming to assist his family during this incredibly difficult period. The kindness and generosity of all donors are deeply appreciated.

Sophie concluded, “Thank you for taking your time to read Jamie’s story. He will be missed very much and will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, our sweet boy Jamie.”

For those interested in learning more about Jamie’s story or contributing to the fundraiser, additional information can be found on GoFundMe.
