A teenage boy is currently in a potentially life-changing condition in the hospital after being shot in Brixton on New Year’s Day. The incident occurred in Roycroft Close, Upper Tulse Hill, with police responding to the call shortly after 1 am on January 1.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers were joined by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, where they discovered a 17-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The injured teenager was promptly transported to the hospital, where he continues to receive medical treatment, two days after the incident.
Later that evening, a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody as the investigation continues.
The Metropolitan Police are urgently appealing to any witnesses to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
