The sister of Harry Pitman, the 16-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in a stabbing incident on Primrose Hill during New Year’s Eve celebrations, has taken to social media to refute rumours that her brother was involved in any gang-related activities.

Tayla Pitman, 19, posted a video on TikTok addressing the unfounded rumours surrounding her brother’s death. She passionately stated that Harry was not associated with any gangs or individuals who could cause trouble. Tayla emphasized that her brother had never had any prior trouble with the police and that he was the victim in this heartbreaking situation.

In the emotional video, Tayla said, “I’m sick of this narrative that’s being portrayed that Harry deserved to die because he was involved, but Harry didn’t deserve to die because he wasn’t involved. So I need everyone to get this clear and everyone needs to know that Harry was a good boy. He didn’t do any wrong.”

Harry Pitman was fatally stabbed during a fight that erupted on Primrose Hill just before midnight on New Year’s Eve. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he could not be saved. A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of his murder and was released on bail on January 2.

Tayla had previously shared a touching tribute video on her TikTok account in memory of her younger brother, featuring photos of Harry with Tayla and friends, set to the song ‘You Are My Sunshine.’

At a vigil held in Downhill Park, hundreds of people joined Harry’s family to pay their respects and leave flowers in his memory. Tayla told the Mail Online, “It doesn’t seem real – I keep on expecting him to come through the front door. His dinner is still in the oven, Mum can’t bring herself to remove it.” She also mentioned Harry’s aspirations of joining the Army, following in the footsteps of their grandfather, a Second World War veteran.

Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Grogan expressed his condolences to Harry’s family and friends, emphasizing the senseless nature of the act of violence that took the young boy’s life. He assured the public that a dedicated team of detectives is working diligently to uncover the events leading to this tragedy.
