The British Transport Police (BTP) is urgently seeking witnesses to assist in the investigation of a disturbing assault and a series of public order offences that occurred on a Jubilee Line tube service. The incidents took place on Saturday, 2nd December, at approximately 4:30 PM.
According to reports, a pregnant woman was among the victims targeted during this distressing episode. Witnesses recounted that two of the three individuals involved began blowing vape smoke directly into her face. When the pregnant woman politely requested that they cease their actions, the situation escalated as they proceeded to threaten both her and her unborn child. Shockingly, as the pregnant woman attempted to leave, the suspects even tried to trip her.
The group then turned their attention to another female passenger, believed to be of Asian descent, making racist comments and threatening to steal her shopping.
As if the initial offences were not appalling enough, the perpetrators went on to make derogatory comments towards yet another passenger and engaged in intimidating gestures towards her friend. When they disembarked at St John’s Wood station, one of the three individuals physically assaulted the friend by punching her in the head.
Approximately fifteen minutes later, at around 4:45 PM, another victim found herself on the Jubilee Line service en route to Dollis Hill Station. To her dismay, she was approached by the same trio, who, once again, created an intimidating atmosphere. In this instance, one of the suspects forcefully seized the victim’s phone, claiming it as their own. They continued to harass her and even attempted to block her exit from the train. Fortunately, she managed to escape their clutches and promptly contacted emergency services (999). At this point, the three suspects disembarked from the train, with one of them committing the additional offence of spitting on the victim’s face as they left.
The trio left the train at Neasden station at approximately 4:51 PM.
The British Transport Police is now urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward and assist with their investigation.
