Teenager Detained After Failing to Stop for Sussex Police

Police in East Sussex arrested a teenager following a car chase.

An incident occurred when a driver ignored police commands on Church Road, Catsfield, on Wednesday, December 13. The chase ended on Down Road, Bexhill, where the driver was apprehended.

A 16-year-old from Battle faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving, driving under the influence, and operating a vehicle without a license or insurance. He is also charged with using a vehicle in poor condition and taking it without permission.

The teenager has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Authorities urge anyone with information or who witnessed the event to contact them online or call 101, referencing serial 773 of 13/12.
