In a distressing incident that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, December 20, police were summoned to Harold Road, near Upton Park Underground Station, following reports of a stabbing. The call was received at approximately 18:32hrs, prompting an urgent response from law enforcement and emergency medical services.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Metropolitan Police, along with colleagues from London’s Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance Service, discovered a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. The young victim received immediate medical attention at the site of the incident.
Following the initial treatment, the victim was urgently transported to the Royal London Hospital. As per the latest reports, he remains in a critical condition, fighting for his life in the hospital’s care.
The area surrounding the incident has been cordoned off, resulting in several road closures around Harold Road. This measure is to facilitate the ongoing investigation and to ensure public safety in the vicinity.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. The Metropolitan Police have launched a full investigation into the incident, with enquiries actively ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and to identify the perpetrator(s).

Police were called to Harold Road near Upton Park Underground Station at about 18:32hrs on Wednesday 20 December following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from London’s Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance Service.
On arrival they found a 20-year-old man with stab injuries.
The victim was treated at the scene before he was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A number of road closures are in place at the location.
At this early stage no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
