Acid Attack Jury Retired to Consider Verdict

The jury of seven men and five Woman have this afternoon retired to consider it verdict against Billy Midmore. Midmore 22 of no fixed address has been on trial at Southampton Crown Court for the last seven day accused of blinding a Southampton mum of six Carla Whitlock with acid last year outside the Turtle Bay in Southampton. During his summing up the judge warned the jury that they should only consider the evidence that has been presented to them in court. Midmore faces one charge of causing GBH with intent with joint enterprise with his brother Geoffrey Midmore who has already pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
