Detectives are urging members of the public to come forward with any information regarding an attack on an ATM at a premises on Sturdee Road in Leicester. The incident took place during the early hours of this morning.

At 03:54 police received a report of the incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the ATM, located outside the front of the premises, had sustained damage. Additionally, a door at the premises was also found to have been affected. Preliminary investigations suggest that an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the machine.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or heard anything unusual or suspicious in the area during the early hours of the morning to come forward and share their information with the police.

Detective Sergeant Dan Lester emphasised the importance of public assistance, stating, “We have been conducting significant inquiries this morning to determine what exactly transpired and how it occurred. If you noticed anything out of the ordinary or concerning, we urge you to contact us. Your information could greatly aid our investigation.
