In a devastating turn of events, 43-year-old Anthony Sharma was discovered with fatal injuries at his residence on Doidge Road, Birmingham, just after 1pm on Friday, November 10. Despite the immediate response, nothing could be done to save him, and he was declared deceased at the scene.
Diogo Bettencourt, 35, residing at the same multi-occupancy address, was arrested at the property in connection with Mr. Sharma’s death. Subsequently, he has been charged with murder. Shockingly, the charges extend to include fraud by false representation, as a bank card belonging to the victim was reportedly used after his tragic death.
Bettencourt is scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on November 13 to face the charges.
