Police hunt Serial Sex Attacker in Lewisham
Detectives in Lewisham are investigating a series of sexual assaults by touching, committed against a number of females in Ladywell, Lewisham. The first reported incident was on Thursday, 7 December 2017, with the most recent being the Sunday, 29 April 2018. Police have released CCTV footage of the male suspect they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents and are appealing to the public to help identify him. The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, aged between 18 and 30 years, he is of slim build and around five feet tall. He has an afro hair style that is around three to four inches deep. On a number of attacks he has worn a dark jacket with a hood which is worn up, dark trousers or jeans and trainers. He has also sometimes worn gloves. Detective Constable Tristan Hunter said: “These incidents were very traumatic for the victims and we are appealing to the public to help us idenify who this man is so that he can be apprehended as soon as possible. “There is a possibility that these incidents are part of a linked series of attacks, as a number of victims have provided very similar descriptions of the attacker. “While efforts to trace the person or people behind these attacks progresses, police patrols in the area have been increased and officers are working with the community to offer reassurance and to hlep identify the offender.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
