Co-operative Childcare Burton, has been instructed to close its doors for a period of six weeks after one of its staff members was charged with child sex offences. The accused, Craig Ordish, aged 38, faces charges of sexual assault against a minor and two counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child.
Only 18 months ago, the nursery received a positive rating of “good” by Ofsted, emphasising the high standard of care and education it provided to the 90 children aged four and below enrolled in the facility. However, with the recent charges against one of its employees, the nursery has been subjected to immediate closure.
The accused is scheduled to appear at Stafford Crown Court on November 10, where the legal proceedings will commence.
