Nigel Hollands, a drug dealer who has been supplying cocaine in the Eastbourne area, has been sentenced to prison for the third time. Hollands was arrested in June 2022 after police discovered messages on someone else’s phone that indicated involvement in the supply of Class A drugs.
Upon suspecting that the messages came from Hollands’ phone, officers stopped and searched him in Beach Road, Eastbourne. They found him in possession of the phone in question and subsequently arrested him. Hollands was released under investigation while further inquiries took place.
In July 2023, Hollands was charged with being involved in the supply of cocaine and with acquiring, using, and possessing criminal property. During his appearance at Lewes Crown Court on 18 August, the 37-year-old resident of Cavendish Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to both offences.
On Friday, October 6, Hollands was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison. The lengthy sentence reflects his previous convictions for supplying cocaine in the Eastbourne area. Despite being jailed for these offences in the past, Hollands continued to supply Class A drugs and has been caught once again..
APS Johnson, the investigating officer, stated, “We hope this sends a message to others that we take the supply of drugs very seriously and are committed to putting drug dealers behind bars where they belong.”
