A man in his 20s has been apprehended by police on suspicion of multiple drugs-related offences following the seizure of approximately £2,500 worth of suspected cannabis. The arrest took place after a vehicle was stopped and searched in Ballymoney on the evening of Saturday, October 7.
At around 21.40 BST, officers carried out a stop and search operation on a suspicious car in the Trinity Drive area of the town. During the search, several items were confiscated, including a significant quantity of a suspected class B substance and other drug-related paraphernalia. Furthermore, a separate property search led to the recovery of an additional amount of a suspected class B drug.
The 27-year-old suspect was subsequently arrested on charges of possession of Class B, being involved in the supply of class B, possession with intent to supply class B, and possessing criminal property. Following his arrest, he has been released on bail pending further investigation.
