A tense siege in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, came to a safe conclusion as specialist firearms officers moved in and detained a 38-year-old man who had barricaded himself in a property on Moathouse Lane West. The operation unfolded just after 12:35pm on October 7.
The individual has been taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of threats to kill. The resolution of the incident, which began on October 6 when police were called to the property around 1pm was achieved without any injuries. He stated, “We are thankful that this incident has ended safely, I am sure everyone in the local area shares in our relief.”
Fisher continued to extend appreciation to the residents of Moathouse Lane West and apologised for any inconvenience caused during the operation.
