A second man, Micah Hines, 20, of Victoria Avenue, Brent, has been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Hamza Iqbal in Wembley. The charges include murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Hines appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 6, and has been remanded in custody. His next appearance is scheduled at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, October 10.
The investigation was initiated after police responded to a stabbing incident in Olympic Way, Wembley, following a call just after 23:00 on Sunday, September 24. Hamza Iqbal was found with injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his wounds shortly thereafter.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday, September 27, revealed a preliminary cause of death as sharp force trauma to the chest. The severity of the incident has led to swift and thorough action by law enforcement.
Joshua Oladele, 19, of Wyld Way, Wembley, had previously been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the same incident. Another 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed pending further enquiries until December.
Additionally, a 19-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been bailed pending further enquiries, with their dates set for December.
