Seven individuals, including Kashif Sadiq (32), John Robertson (27), Jordan Devine (29), Peter Davies (23), Jamshaid Yaqoob (38), Asad Raja (28), and Adam Ahmed (24), have been sentenced to jail following their guilty pleas in connection with serious organised crime. The convictions were handed down on 9 August 2023 after a meticulous operation conducted by detectives from Greater Glasgow Division’s Proactive Criminal Investigations Department.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Kashif Sadiq, the principal of the group, received a sentence of six years and nine months. Jordan Devine was jailed for five years, Peter Davies for four and a half years, and Adam Ahmed, Asad Raja, and John Robertson each received four-year jail terms. Jamshaid Yaqoob was sentenced to three years.
The investigation, initiated in May 2021, targeted two online drugs supply lines named ‘Dr Greengo’ and ‘Roger Dodger,’ both operated by Kashif Sadiq and his associates. The group predominantly used Snapchat as a platform for their illicit activities.
Detectives, during a complex investigation, uncovered the group’s distribution methods, which included post, pick-up, and drop-off services. Each method had a dedicated contact number for buyers. Through forensic and cyber examinations, officers identified individuals involved in dealing, storing, packaging, and couriering the drugs.
Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson of Greater Glasgow CID commented on the case, stating, “Dismantling this group has significantly disrupted the supply of drugs in Scotland. This was a sophisticated criminal enterprise with Sadiq especially exploiting his illicit activity to fund a lavish lifestyle.”
