In the aftermath of a knifepoint robbery in Stroud on Monday, 2 October, investigators have released CCTV images of a man they seek to identify in connection with the incident.
The incident unfolded when police received a report of two men threatening two teenage boys and stealing items from them. The victims recounted that they were sitting in Bank Gardens park, off Lansdown, in the town center shortly before 5 pm on Monday when the two assailants approached them.
According to the victims, the offenders demanded belongings from one of the boys, physically assaulting him when he resisted. A second teenager who attempted to intervene was then threatened with a knife. The perpetrators subsequently fled the scene, making off with a Trapstar bag, Apple Airpods headphones, and a black coat.
While the victims were not physically harmed, they were understandably shaken by the traumatic incident. An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the case and is currently in police custody.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify any other individuals involved, and investigators have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the incident. The public is urged to assist in the investigation by coming forward with any information, witness accounts, or relevant mobile phone/dashcam footage.
