Man Charged In Connection With Romance Fraud Investigation

A 37-year-old man, Cieran Griffin from Coventry, has been charged in connection with allegations of romance fraud. The arrest took place in Colchester on Friday, 29 September, and Griffin was subsequently transported to Cheshire.

Cieran Griffin faces three counts of fraud by false representation. The charges specifically pertain to allegations of romance fraud involving three women from Cheshire, Warwickshire, and Hertfordshire. Griffin appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday, 30 September, where he was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, 27 October, at Chester Crown Court.
