Detectives have unveiled an e-fit image of a man they are eager to identify and speak to regarding a sexual assault on a dog walker in the Maidenehad area. The incident occurred on August 14 at approximately 17.45 BST as the victim was walking her dog along a footpath in an open meadow near Woolley Firs and Cherry Garden Lane.
The victim, feeling uneasy, encountered the offender crouched in the overgrowth along the path. Taking precautionary measures, she continued walking toward a wooden gate. However, her unease heightened when she observed the offender walking towards her upon reaching the gate.
As the situation escalated, the victim shouted at the offender, who then grabbed her jumper and attempted to lift it, prompting the victim to scream. The assailant quickly fled in the opposite direction, leaving the victim shaken by the disturbing encounter.
Detective Constable Peter Fitzer, leading the investigation from the CID team at Maidenhead police station, released the e-fit image in hopes that someone might recognise the individual depicted. DC Fitzer urged the public to come forward with any information that could aid the ongoing investigation.
“If you recognise the man pictured or have any information that could help with our investigation, make a report online or call 101, quoting reference number 43230363229,” stated Detective Constable Peter Fitzer.
