In a concerning incident in Derby, a man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that left another man with life-threatening injuries. The incident took place on Tuesday, September 26, at approximately 10:50 in Laverstoke Court, located off Peet Street in Derby.
Upon receiving reports of the stabbing, officers swiftly responded and found a man who had sustained critical injuries as a result of the attack. He was immediately transported to the hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The accused, identified as Alfid Kalid, a 24-year-old resident of Peet Street, Derby, has been charged with attempted murder. Kalid appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on September 28, where he was remanded to prison.
