In Thanet, An Arrest Has Been Made In Connection With A Report Of An Attempted Cooking Oil Theft

 

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, Kent Police received a report that two people were starting to fill a van with cooking oil containers at a commercial premises in Sea Road, Westgate, when they were interrupted by a member of the public who confronted them, causing them to leave empty-handed.

A 21-year-old man from London was arrested by Met Police colleagues on Thursday, July 28th, as part of an investigation into the Kent Police report.

He is still being held in custody while the investigation is ongoing.
