A man has been arrested and charged with assault in connection with a disturbance that occurred in Stonehaven. Police responded to a call in the Broomhill Road area at approximately 10:40 BST on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, emergency services attended the scene, and a 30-year-old man, identified as David McGuinness from Inverurie, was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
A 50-year-old man has been taken into custody and charged in connection with the assault. He is scheduled to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
