Northumbria Police have launched an appeal for information following a disturbing incident that left a man in his 40s with serious head injuries. The incident occurred late on Thursday evening, prompting a thorough investigation.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday night, authorities received a concerning report. A man, whose identity has not been disclosed, had presented himself at South Tyneside District Hospital with severe head injuries. The nature and extent of his injuries raised immediate alarm bells, prompting an urgent response from police.
Subsequent inquiries revealed a series of events leading up to the victim’s arrival at the hospital.Earlier in the evening, the victim had been at the Bun Bun establishment, located on Charlotte Street in South Shields.At approximately 20.20 BST, the victim left Bun Bun and began walking towards the Beach Road area. Just half an hour later, at around 20.50, the man was discovered outside Cask Lounge, also situated on Charlotte Street. He was found to have sustained severe head injuries during this timeframe.
Law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the victim’s injuries. They are keeping an open mind regarding the sequence of events that led to this distressing incident. Authorities are actively pursuing leads and gathering evidence to determine what transpired between 8.25pm and 8.50pm.
As the investigation unfolds, the injured man remains in a serious but stable condition while receiving medical care at the hospital.
