The father, stepmother, and uncle of 10-year-old Sara Sharif have been arrested upon their return to the United Kingdom from Pakistan. The trio is now under suspicion of murder, shedding new light on a tragic case that has deeply unsettled the community.
Surrey Police reported that the arrests occurred at Gatwick Airport at approximately 19:45 BST, shortly after the suspects disembarked from a flight originating in Dubai. Sara Sharif’s untimely death shook the town of Woking, Surrey, when her lifeless body was discovered in her home on August 10. The circumstances surrounding her demise were particularly distressing, as it was her father, Urfan Sharif, who had made the harrowing call to emergency services from Pakistan, identifying himself as her father.
The investigation into this heart-wrenching incident took an international turn as Sara’s father, her stepmother Beinash Batool, and her uncle Faisal Malik traveled to Pakistan on September 9.
