Detectives in Carrickfergus have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery at a commercial premises in the Bridewell Drive area. The harrowing incident took place on the evening of Monday, September 11, leaving both staff members and the community deeply shaken.
According to Detective Sergeant Crothers, the robbery unfolded at approximately 20.50 BST when an unidentified male entered the shop brandishing a knife. He reportedly threatened two female staff members, demanding money before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.
The suspect is described as being around 6 feet tall, with a heavy build. At the time of the incident, he was dressed in dark trousers, a zipped-up dark jacket, and a grey hooded top underneath. Additionally, he wore white trainers and concealed his face behind a red-coloured mask.
