Murder Investigation In Brixton: Detectives Appeal For Information

Detectives leading the investigation into the tragic murder of Ronaldo Scott in Brixton have issued an urgent appeal for information from the public. Authorities have released images of two suspects leaving the scene as they seek vital leads in the case.

Ronaldo Scott’s murder prompted a swift and intensive investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is overseeing the inquiry, expressed her gratitude to those who have already come forward to assist in unraveling the circumstances surrounding Ronaldo’s death. However, she emphasised the importance of reaching individuals who may hold critical information but have not yet contacted the police.

DCI Blackburn stated, “If you saw, or have heard anything since, no matter how insignificant you might think it is, at the very least your information could add certainty to details that we haven’t yet confirmed.” Recognising that some individuals may be hesitant to engage with law enforcement, she reassured potential witnesses, saying, “Please know that you don’t have to speak directly to us – there are two ways you can provide us with information and footage that is important for our investigation without giving us your details.”

One option for providing information anonymously is to contact Crimestoppers, an independent charity that guarantees anonymity and does not share personal details with the police. The second avenue is to submit video footage or information via the investigation’s Public Portal without divulging personal details.

The tragic incident unfolded on September 4th when police received a call at 12:08 regarding a stabbing in Morrison Road, SW9. Responding officers and the London Ambulance Service discovered 21-year-old Ronaldo Scott with multiple knife wounds. Despite their efforts, Ronaldo succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving his family devastated.

DCI Blackburn revealed that extensive CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scene has been collected and analysed. In an effort to identify and apprehend the suspects, the police have now released images of them leaving the scene after the stabbing.

Borough Commander for Lambeth and Southwark, Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh, expressed condolences and acknowledged the pain Ronaldo’s loss has caused the local community. He assured the public of increased police presence in the area, with uniformed officers conducting patrols to address any concerns and engage with residents.

The investigation into Ronaldo Scott’s murder remains active, and authorities urge anyone with information, no matter how small they believe it may be, to come forward. Witnesses can call the police at 101 or contact them via ‘X’ @MetCC, quoting CAD3184/04SEP. To provide information anonymously, individuals can reach out to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
