Police are looking into an altercation that occurred in Norwich early this morning (Thursday 2 June 2022).
Officers were called to a residence in Howard Terrace, off Sussex Street, Norwich, soon after 1 a.m. today (Thursday 2 June) after receiving allegations of an incident inside. When officers arrived, they discovered a man in his twenties inside the house with stab wounds to his hands. He was transferred to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for medical treatment before being arrested. He is still in the hospital.
Just before 1.30 a.m. today (Thursday, June 2), the East of England Ambulance Service received another call reporting a male in Drayton Road, Norwich, with a stab wound to his stomach. The man, in his forties, was brought to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment. He is still in the hospital and has been detained in connection with the event.
In addition, officers responded to a property on Pelham Road shortly before 1.45 a.m. today (Thursday, June 2, 2022) after receiving information that a male inside the home had a minor leg wound. The 30-year-old guy was brought to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment. He was released from the hospital before being detained in connection with the incident and sent to the Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for interrogation. He is still being held.
In connection with the incident, a woman in her 40s was also arrested at the Pelham Road residence and sent to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. She is still being held.
Howard Terrace, Drayton Road, and Pelham Road are still cordoned off by police.
Officers are still in the early phases of their investigation, but they believe the three reports are connected, and all people involved are familiar with one another.
