Police And Council Secure Premises Closure Order For Property In Eastbourne

Police and Eastbourne Borough Council have successfully obtained a premises closure order for a property on Etchingham Road, following numerous reports of crime and anti-social behaviour in the area. The closure order, which was granted on Wednesday (9th March 2023), was obtained by the Eastbourne Neighbourhood Policing Team in partnership with the council.

The closure order comes after a rigorous effort by the police and their partners, who worked alongside local residents and communities to address the issues caused by the occupants of the property. The occupants were found to be putting the wider community at significant risk of harm through their actions.

The closure order, which utilises all available powers, is hoped to provide closure and reassurance to those living in the area. The police and council would like to extend their thanks to the victims who had the courage to work with officers, and to all partners involved in securing the order.

Residents of Langney can now be assured that the authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure their safety, and will continue to work tirelessly to address any further concerns in the area.
