Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets, before using high pressured fans to clear the home of smoke.
No injuries were reported.
KFRS’ volunteer response team and The British Red Cross also attended to offer support and advice to the affected residents.
The cause is not yet known.
