Pick up truck hits woman in Newport
Emergency services are currently responding to an incident in the centre of Newport this morning. Police and Paramedics are currently dealing with an incident in Pyle Street Newport. Is understood that a pick up truck mounted the pavement and struck a woman who was getting out of a blue Seat Leon. A woman in her Fifties has been treated by paramedics at the scene. She has since been take to hospital by ambulance. The injuries of the woman are not thought to be serious. No one is trapped despite reports. Pyle street remains open to traffic.
