Road policing officers in Fife are urgently appealing for witnesses after a tragic collision claimed the life of a 58-year-old woman. The incident occurred on the B981 near Crossgates on Monday, August 14, around 12.30pm
The crash involved a red and white Scania articulated truck and a white Vauxhall Astra car. Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide assistance, but sadly, the driver of the car could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the location. Fortunately, no other individuals sustained injuries in the collision.
Sergeant Colin Morrison expressed condolences for the woman’s family and assured them that a comprehensive investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
