Detectives investigating the tragic death of nineteen-year-old Matthew Daulby have made a significant breakthrough in the case. Henry Houghton, an 18-year-old man from Scarisbrick, has been charged with murder following an altercation on Railway Road in the early hours of Saturday, July 29.
The authorities responded to reports of an ongoing disturbance at 12.05am on that fateful Saturday. At the scene, they discovered Matthew Daulby with stab injuries, and despite the best efforts of emergency services, he passed away later in the hospital.
