Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace after a fight broke out between two men involving weapons – UKNIP

The incident happened at around 3pm on Saturday 6 May in Forster Street.

Officers were called to the street after reports that two men were arguing and brandished weapons.

One man has been arrested for affray with an axe and metal bar found in his car.

The other man has fled the scene. A search was conducted in the area, but he has not been found.

Police have also searched an address looking for the suspect and carried out extensive CCTV inquiries.

Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to trace to help them with their inquiries.

PC Jack Cook, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was obviously distressing for residents to witness, and we are determined to catch the other person involved in this incident.

“It is completely unacceptable for people to arm themselves with weapons and attempt to use them in the street.

“We are calling on the public’s help to identify a man in the CCTV image released. Do you know who he is? Are you the man in the image?

“He could hold vital clues to our investigation and I would urge the public to get in touch as soon as possible.”
