Two people have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in relation to a suspected discharge incident in Leeds.

A man, aged 24, and a woman, aged 25, were arrested after armed officers executed warrants at three addresses in Leeds in the early hours of this morning as part of an investigation led by West Yorkshire Police Firearms Prevent and Investigations Team.

It follows an incident in the vicinity of Cross Gates Lane, Leeds, on July 9 where there was a disturbance in the street involving males in cars and a spent bullet casing was later found at the scene.

The two remain in custody and enquiries are ongoing.
