Emergency services responded to a distressing scene at Bromley Cemetery on London Road early Friday morning, where a man was discovered unresponsive. The incident prompted a swift and coordinated response from police, fire crews, and London Ambulance paramedics who were called to the site shortly after 7 a.m.
The exact circumstances surrounding the discovery remain unclear, leaving authorities to launch an investigation into the incident. The man was found by police, who were initially alerted to the situation and quickly summoned additional support. Upon arrival, emergency responders assessed the man’s condition and found him unresponsive.
The priority for the attending emergency personnel was to provide immediate medical attention and attempt to revive the individual. However, despite their efforts, the man’s condition did not improve, emphasising the seriousness of the situation.
In light of the unfolding investigation, the police have been approached for comment regarding the incident
A Spokesman for the Met Police said:
Detectives were seeking the whereabouts of a 31-year-old man reported missing on Thursday, 13 July.
Following extensive enquiries, officers located the male, who was found unresponsive, at 07:33hrs on Friday, 14 July at London Lane, Bromley.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family has been notified.
The death is being treated as unexpected, however it is not thought to be suspicious.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified as is routine.
