Massive Blaze Rips Through Kettering Business – Firefighters Battle On
Fire crews are still battling a huge fire that tore through a Kettering business today. Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) rushed to the scene just after 12:30pm on Monday, May 13.
Huge Building Engulfed
The blaze has engulfed a massive building measuring roughly 100 by 150 metres. Flames have swallowed all three floors plus the basement, forcing a full-scale emergency response with ten fire engines tackling the inferno.
Local Residents Urged to Stay Safe
Locals have been told to keep windows and doors shut to avoid harmful smoke. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far – but nearby buildings have been evacuated as a safety precaution.
Road Closures and Disruptions
Emergency services including police, fire, ambulance, and utility crews are on scene. Northamptonshire Police have shut the following roads:
- Regent Street
- wellington/" title="Wellington" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Wellington Street
- Havelock Street
- Rockingham Road (at Nelson Street junction)
Both motorists and pedestrians are warned to steer clear of the area until the situation is resolved.
