Two Stabbings Rock Middlesbrough in Early Hours
Twin stabbing attacks in Middlesbrough left two young men injured but thankfully not fatally. Police continue their hunt for answers after violent scenes unfolded just over an hour apart.
First Attack at 1.10am
The first stabbing occurred around 1.10am on Sunday 29th May inside the 24 Hour Shop at the crossroads of Linthorpe Road and Granville Road. A 28-year-old man was hurt after an altercation involving two men that quickly escalated when others joined in. The victim sustained a stab wound that police say is not life-threatening.
Second Incident Near Macy Browns at 2.55am
Less than two hours later, at 2.55am, a 21-year-old man was stabbed outside Macy Browns Public House on Linthorpe Road. He too was injured in a fracas but is expected to make a full recovery.
Police Seek Witnesses and CCTV Footage
- Both victims were rushed to hospital for treatment.
- Detectives currently believe the two attacks are unrelated but investigations remain open.
