Seven Held as Murder Probe Launched After Harlesden Stabbing
A murder investigation is underway after a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death in north London in the early hours of Wednesday.
Deadly Attack on Harlesden High Street
Police were called at 9.07pm on Tuesday, 23 April, after reports of a stabbing on High Street, NW10. Officers found the victim with serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died at 2.47am.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, though formal ID is pending. A post-mortem will be carried out soon.
Suspects’ Brazen Road Block Stuns Witnesses
Detectives say the attackers arrived in two cars and deliberately blocked traffic to trap their victim. The 21-year-old fled into a bookmakers shop to seek help before paramedics arrived.
DCI Glen Lloyd, leading the inquiry, said: “We know that the suspects blocked the road, causing traffic chaos including a Route 18 bus. If you were on that bus or in the area around 9pm, please get in touch.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Video Evidence
Police have opened an incident room and are urging witnesses to step forward.
“If you filmed the assault on your phone or caught it on dash cam, please call us. It’s vital to piece together exactly what happened,” said DCI Lloyd.
Seven men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of offences including possession of an offensive weapon and attempted murder. They remain in custody.
