No injuries have been reported so far, but detectives from Leeds CID and the Major Enquiry Team are probing the incident as a serious public order offence.
Past Trouble Haunts Harehills
Harehills’ high unemployment and history of unrest – including the infamous 2001 riot – continue to fuel tensions. Locals say the anger was sparked by fears over children being taken into care, escalating from a tense stand-off to full-blown riots.
