A 13-year-old schoolgirl has tragically died after falling off her e-bike in Corby town centre, Northamptonshire. The heartbreaking incident took place yesterday afternoon, April 7th.
The accident happened between 2pm and 3pm on Elizabeth Street. The young girl suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, but sadly passed away shortly after arrival.
Northamptonshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward.
“The incident happened yesterday, April 7, between 2pm and 3pm, when a 13-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling off an e-bike in the town’s Elizabeth Street. She was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later,” said a police statement.
