A massive fire erupted at a pub located on Heathfield Road in Keston on the night of Saturday 18th April 2026. The blaze prompted a swift and significant response from emergency services.
Eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters were dispatched to the scene to combat the intense flames. The London Fire Brigade reported that the fire affected parts of the first floor, second floor, and the roof at its height.
To gain better control over the situation, firefighters used a 32-metre turntable ladder as an observation tower, allowing them to tackle the fire from above effectively.
Control officers received the first of six emergency calls at 10:33 pm. Fire crews from Biggin Hill, Bromley, Orpington, and other nearby stations were quickly mobilised to respond to the incident.
The fire was declared under control by 12:14 am, thanks to the rapid and coordinated efforts of the fire crews. Their swift action prevented what could have been a devastating disaster in this quiet area of London.
