Chaos erupted on Hadwicke Street, Barking, as police rushed to the scene at 8.58pm on November 16. Two 16-year-old boys were found with gunshot wounds and were immediately taken to hospital.
Emergency Response and Injuries Officers arrived swiftly to discover both teenagers injured. Thankfully, neither wound is believed to be fatal, but one of the boys is facing potentially life-altering damage.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 20:58hrs on Sunday, 16 November to reports of a shooting on Hardwicke Street, Barking. Two 16-year-old boys were found to have gunshot injuries. Both were taken to hospital and their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening, but one of the boys is believed to have life-changing injuries.”
Despite the dramatic scene, no arrests have been made so far. The Metropolitan Police are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.
