The police are currently investigating two connected assaults on a man in his 50s in Lostwithiel and are urging anyone with information to assist with their inquiries.

The incidents occurred on the evening of Tuesday 9 June. The first assault took place at around 7.15pm on Grenville Road, where the suspect reportedly pushed over the victim’s mobility scooter, causing damage to the scooter and minor injuries to the man.

After receiving help from two passersby, the victim was confronted again by the same suspect on Mill Hill. During this second encounter, the suspect punched the victim several times. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were minor and did not require hospital treatment.

Police have released a description of the suspect, describing him as a white male in his 20s, of average height and build. Officers are keen to trace anyone who witnessed the assaults or who may have relevant dashcam footage of the incidents.
