Two men were deliberately struck by a car in Leeds, police have confirmed.
At 5.57am today, West Yorkshire Police rushed to Swinegate near Leeds Bridge, initially thinking it was a routine crash. However, they soon discovered that a black Vauxhall Insignia estate had been driven straight at two men, aged 40 and 56, following a heated argument nearby.
The men were taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but thankfully not life-threatening.
Police closed the road for vehicle recovery and investigation, but it has since reopened.
Leeds District CID detectives are now probing the shocking attack.

The shocking early morning attack has left the Leeds community shaken as officers race to catch those responsible.
