Sussex Police have launched an urgent appeal following an assault and robbery in Worthing town centre. The incident occurred at approximately 1.30am on Monday 25 May in the Chapel Road area as the victim, a man in his 40s, was walking towards the taxi rank.
During the attack, the victim sustained an injury to his right eye. Additionally, his personal belongings were stolen, including a silver iPhone in a black case and a distinctive “Dad” keyring. Police believe this keyring may help in identifying the suspects involved.
Officers are urging anyone who was in or near Chapel Road or the wider Worthing town centre around the time of the incident to come forward. They are especially interested in obtaining any CCTV footage or mobile phone videos that may show suspicious behaviour.
